Kokutaiji Temple

It is a historical site designated by the national government established in 1804 in Akkeshi, the site of the Menashi-Kunashir Rebellion, by the shogunate who had direct control over eastern Ezo as a tutelary temple of the Kushiro area. It was one of the three state-sponsored temples in Ezo.
